The trustees established Samuel Ready Scholarships, Inc. (SRS) "to provide scholarship funds to Supported Schools selected by the Board of Trustees for the education of girls who show academic promise and who might otherwise be unable to afford tuition."
The original three Supported Schools were The Bryn Mawr School, Garrison Forest School, and Roland Park Country School. A year later, Friends School of Baltimore and St. Paul's School for Girls were added, and in 1991 the Institute of Notre Dame brought the total number of Supported Schools to six.
Hundreds of Samuel Ready Scholars have graduated from our six Supported Schools, have advanced to leading colleges and universities, and have distinguished themselves as contributing members of the community through the various professions and service sectors.
